Thank you for the additional info, there are so many choices, I'm a bit overwhelmed, so far I love all of the suggestions. The hard part is picking one. i'm limited to how many I can have in the city limits or I would try them all :)
I will look into the Black Stars as well, thank you for the info on the Golden Comets, while searching I wasn't able to find them available, now that I know they are red sex links, maybe I'll have better luck. :)
Looks like the Australorp may fit the bill, according to MyPetChicken they are peaceful and dignified. Do you stay with one breed? If not how did the Australorp adapt to the other hens??
I've been on several sites, but haven't found any additional information on heat and cold hardy chickens, the weather is weird here. In one day we can have all four seasons of weather. The Golden Comets were recommended, I am currently looking into the Australorps as per your recommendation. I...

I have wyandottes, not sure about the little ones, I have a 4 ft. fence in the area already, not sure if I need more than that, if so, I'll make a full enclosure. I would rather not clip their wings, if I can avoid it. We have neighbors who have some untrained, aggressive dogs and I just don't...
I really appreciate your help, and thank you. My girls are confined, although they do have a fairly large coop/ run area. I would love to free range but I'm in town and I worry about them flying the coop. I do plan on letting them run my garden area during the growing off season, will I need to...
Thank you, I will look into the non-medicated starter, also I've seen multi vitamins and supplements, are they necessary? A friend told me to get a poultry block, would that be something to give them regularly or like a treat?
Sorry if these questions are silly, but I want to make sure my hens...
