    Yes, they would work for that. Only problem is the remote only works from about 5-6 meters, no further, I think.. So you would probably have to go out to the coop to turn it off/on. Ours is a solar charger but can be plugged into a usb port/adapter instead. It works perfectly while plugged in...

    I would definitely run down to the feed store or check online locally to see if you can find at least one more chick around the same age to add asap.

    We used veterycin spray on our birds' injuries after we cleaned them. It worked incredibly well.

    Look like pullets to me but I'm no expert. They just look a lot like my RIR and BR hens. On a side note, I love how BR always look like they are grumpy.
