    I think Starling are pecking holes in my chicken and duck eggs. It isn't the hens because the ducks and chickens have separate pens to be locked up in at night, when I go out in the evening to gather the eggs both chickens and ducks eggs have a hole pecked in the shell but the inside is still...

    headless chickens in broad daylight

    We had that happen a couple of years ago, I lost 2 ducks and 3 chickens.. We figured out it was an Owl .I heard that if we had left the body there he would have come back for it the next time. I started locking up the chickens and ducks at night and haven't lost any yet.
