    Plastic or Metal coop?

    We have 2 small coops, both of which are cheap and need replacing. We are thinking of buying a shed kit from Lowes and adding nesting boxes and roosts inside. Has anyone done this? What about the smaller buildings that are usually thick plastic or the metal buildings.. are they warm enough...

    Glad to be here!

    I am a new backyard chicken member and don't even have the chicks yet! I am very excited to get started! I have a small henhouse for 6 chickens and a nice area for them, now to find just the right egg layers for my family! Wish me luck!
