This is Marty. Marty was a Mavis, but now I'm sure she's a he. He's 13 weeks and he's a handsome Tolbunt Polish. Pointed tail feathers, wacky hair, but no reddening of the face yet. Nor does he have waddles. He's bearded but not fully like his brother was. (RIP Otis...) Yes, his comb was kinda...
White is a cockerel. That fat comb is a pea comb, and super big and red for his age. Also, his tail is starting to grow streamers. The tan one is a pullet. She looks like my hen Katie- Who I was for sure was gonna be a rooster.
They just hit 5 weeks. I'm getting mixed signals from both of em. Any help is appreciated. No comb-knobs OR signs of reddening faces, or waddle formation. I know it's still early, but I'd like to have a backup plan for them in case they're both males. I already have a rooster in my mini flock...
I went to feed them this morning, and it appears to be healing. It wasn't red pink like it was a few days ago. I'll give it this weekend and see what needs to be done.
He's close to a year. The hens are a tad older than him. Maybe by only a few days, lol. I bought them from a neighbor. I had the guess that he was coming into his actual adult stage.
