    Hi there. I bought 6 ameraucana chicks from a local feed store. They were sexed as hens. But I have 1 who's comb is darker and it has always been quite a bit bigger than the rest. As far as temperament nothing there stands out as roo. The one in the middle in the second picture. Tia for any input.

    She had a black orpington and a lavender.. I guess they mated? But I agree they look like barred. I have 2 lavender as well.

    They are about to go outside now. And the baby has made a full recovery. I don't plan on doing new chicks any time soon but will definitely have a better set up next time. 🥰

    That's really the best I have. Other than taking the box out and just using the dog crate. But I have 2 dogs and 2 cats that will mess with them. Why would I need a bigger one?
