    Thanks for replying, much appreciated. On close examination it looks like a bunch of unorganised cells, with a faint ring around them, but I’m obviously no expert.

    This looks like a pullet to me, I don’t think the comb is OTT for its age.. please give it some more time, you never know!

    Heya, it’s not a true Millefleur, the guy that bred it tries to develop his own colours so it’s a bit of all sorts really!!:lol: I agree it’s very pretty indeed, I love the black back on the light buff colouring

    Yes I agree the comb is a little pronounced, but I’ve also seen a lot of hens with big combs so I’m struggling to decide on that alone :)

    Thanks for your reply - I felt these were girl feathers as well. A lady on Facebook told me it was a boy (based on comb alone) and the rooster feathers would come later but I’ve never seen that happen myself
