Got this guy back in April as a half-fuzzed chick... didn't want...
Also, they are 4+ months old, we DO have a rooster elsewhere on the property that crows, but NONE of the Buckeyes have crowed yet and they aren't laying yet, either...
I'm beginning to suspect that of the 5 Buckeyes we have, 4 of them may be roosters...
Please, someone tell me I'm wrong! The thing throwing me off the most is the difference in thier comb sizes and leg thicknesses (when they are all the same age)...
The one I am certain is a hen has NO green...

I use Sevin Dust on my hounds (when you have 6+ dogs, flea control gets expensive!) with no ill effects - just have to do it every 3-4 days when the season is bad because it wears off. I pour it right on thier backs, then use my hands to rub it into thier fur well. Then I pour it in my hand...

We got these six babies as Buckeyes, but one is darker than the rest (and I haven't seen or read anything about black Buckeyes...).

We got the last six Buckeye babies at the feed store around Easter. We love them - never knew they existed before, but fell in love as soon as we saw them, and love them even more as they are growing! One is not the color of a Buckeye, though...
