    Thank you guys. I think i could teach my pup to herd them and protect them just like she would if it were cattle. I cant wait to venture into it. I figured out that im going to hatch them from eggs to start and it would cost me about $500 without the coop to get started.

    Hi, Im new to chickens and im looking to start owning them. Im 21 and married. I have a beautiful australian cattle dog mix puppy. and im hoping to start my own farming business. I look forward to reading forums and learning more about raising chickens.
