    I agree that speaking to the rooster, and confidently "getting to know him", relaxes his protectiveness. Definitely food helps too! Yes, my rooster was supposed to be a hen, and I was a bit slow in understanding why "she" was not laying. Really happy now.

    The weather report has caused my Sat ride to be cancelled, so I happily can come to the meet-up and , well, meet some of you. I trust the weather will not cause "chickens" to cancel? I hope I can find where I wrote the address.
