    Ordered BCM hatching eggs, tracking confirmed they should have gotten here Friday, but they didn't get here until this afternoon on Monday! It was two day shipping through USPS... Does anyone have experience with this or know if I can make an insurance claim?

    Gave my stuck chick a bath today too. She looks much better. I think I'll wait and let the remaining eggs do their thing....

    I think humidity was too high- it was hard to regulate and by the time I figured out how to stabilize it, I think it was too late. So I'm on day 24 and I see one egg slightly moving still... tempted to get into the air cell and remove it... thoughts? The first egg (smaller than the rest) hatched...

    Not good. I had 2 hatch (I had to help one of them) and I think that's going to be it... just cracked one open and it looks like it died at day 19 or 20- assuming the rest are the same. :(

    Should a black copper marans chick have a white spot on it's head? Edit: it's not a bcm... Just looked at the shell label. Whoops

    I have seen this right after one of mine had molted... not sure what it is though... She was also new to the flock and under stress if that's helpful. I just attributed it to these factors and possibly lacking something in her diet because the other girls weren't nice about sharing.

    Thanks everyone, trying not to count my chickens before they hatch... I'll try to get pictures if my kids' big heads will stay out of the way of the windows :)

    Day 20 on Rock Stars and French Black Copper Marans!! I see some rocking (very slight movement) on a couple eggs- Has anyone else noticed this before?

    I'm expecting on 4/2! Hopefully... It's my first hatch and all bcm were shipped during the vortex!
