I thought that I had read that after 90 days nutrition goes down so that's as long as I keep. I was also told by the mill that I purchase my feed from that is about as long as you want to keep it. If that isn't true I could see myself stocking up on more.
We meet again lol.
I purchased my first discount Cornish chick at TSC last year and haven't looked back. I prefer the chicken meat and the quantity you get for work put in compared to the quails.
I might have missed it but did you say what breed eggs you ordered, I've not seen many meat bird...
I am new to pressure canning also. I started last year and feel way more comfortable this year. Like everyone has been saying it really is just following steps that are usually laid out pretty well for you. I hope you decide to give it a try. Walmart sells a Presto canner for under $100 that I...

I've had a hen do something similar, accept she went after all the other birds not just the rooster. I sepersted her out for a week and things were ok when I put her back in. Good luck, let us know how it goes.
This is just my opinion, so you know what it is worth 🤣. I would talk to your neighbors about it, see what their feelings are. No need to mention anything about rules unless they ask. If they seem ok with the idea and possibility of getting eggs (assuming you have enough to share) then I would...
Not sure but think if there is yolk in the shell then they didn't quite finish developing or called early quitters. When I've had a good hatch rate I've noticed almost no yolk or yellow. When my hatch rates aren't good I notice yellow in the shell.
