    Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out. My predator problem was partly of my own making. I went for such a long time with no incidents that I became careless. Anyway, automatic doors are awesome.

    Starting with a basic shed seems to be a good direction. I don't have one to convert, however, so I'll be building from scratch. Considered buying a Tough Shed to save time, but can't bring myself to spend the money. Anyway, I need room to isolate chickens when needed and to introduce new chicks...

    Looks like we used the same plans. Works fairly well but a little small for the number of chickens I would like to keep.

    (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I bought my first dozen chicks almost 3 years ago. I built a coop for them from some Home Depot plans and they have about a third of an acre to scratch around in. (2) How many chickens do you have right now? Due to a raccoon...
