Thank you! I will be looking to get bran! is there an easy way to move the meal worms from oats to bran? Other than the obvious time consuming process of picking them out.
Since i skipped that step should i remove the mealworms and start over (baking the oats), or just see if they will be fine? they are store bought rolled oats. I would hope there wouldnt be bugs in it :sick
I know that the substrate that they live in needs to be cooked or frozen for a period of time to prevent bugs that may live in it. Maybe that is what it is? I forgot this process :he so I am wondering if i need to remove the meal worms and put them in new sanitized material. they are in oats...
when i started giving it to my chicks they did the same thing. they would take one nibble then leave it. after a week or so they loved it. ive been doing it a couple months now. but one of my pullets i still never see her eating it. but the others eat it fine so i must be doing something right!
happy 4th!!! and No im not feeding my chickens pop rock candys :0 :) but my daughter was throwing the firework pop rocks, ya know the ones that pop on the ground and little rocks fly everywhere! well my chickens seem to be eating the rocks that are in them! would the stuff in them that causes it...
I'm pretty sure she only has 4 toes.... but she DOES NOT like to be touched. i try not to pick her up if i don't have to so i haven't actually counted them. and yes she does have feathered legs. :) i tried taking some more pictures with my camera this time so hopefully they look better. It turns...
