We have 4 1 yr old Rhodesia Island Reds and we just got 4 more two or three weeks ago. The feed store guy told me that when the chicks are ready to slip them into the roost after dark while the adult females were sleeping. He said the same thing goes for introducing a rooster. We will see how...
