Ok they sort of looked like little worms but like I said there were these huge grub like things outside that looked like oversized maggots. So any ideas on what caused this?
Unforunately due to how many worms and the severity of it I had to make the horrible choice of putting her out of her misery. Both legs were featherless and her underside was completely covered with wounds and worms. Thank you everyone for their help and my favorite little lady will be missed...
Ok serious issue! I just checked her and her left leg is covered in black slime and there are bugs all around the wound. It looks like its eating her flesh away... Someone please help soon
I went outside this morning to where I dumped her water bowl and my front door step is covered in maggots! or grub like bugs. I've found them in her water bowl too. She has been becoming progressivly better over the few days. She's been standing and walking. I've also been feeding her cayenne...
She has no mites but I have not wormed her ever. How would I tell if she has worms or not? When I put her in a warm bath there were little floaty things that looked like tiny maggots but I had just cut poop out of her feathers and I assumed it was just feather particles not worms!
The more I feel around I dont think it's an egg becuase I felt the same thing on some of my other birds and they have all the same lumps and bumps. Shes been up eating and drinking and she loved the pasta I fed her so shes not acting strange but shes still lethargic and not walking that much at...
She still hasnt passed it but Im about to give her another bath and massage so hopefully she passes it when I get home from work! She's been up eating and drinking. Is that a good sign or what? And I did feel her crop last night and it was full
Ok so I could feel something kind of under her vent that felt oval shaped but I'm not sure if it was an egg. Ill go feel the places you told me to now.
