sent off Blood and feathers for DNA testing but thought it would be fun of anyone wants to guess. I'm sort of prepared to be told it's a roo because that comb is, well, thiiiick.🫣
currently she is holding her own after being a sole hatch with mama and rest of flock. just under 8 weeks. born...
aware this is a ridiculously old post 🫣 can I ask what sex the buff ended up being? have one looking similar. currently obsessing over others similar looking chicks.
you have started to assist and normally with these in order to hatch you need to fully assist....BUT not till it looks ready. I can see visible veins, this means it's not yet absorbed yolk and will die if you help it. once you see no veins you could try to poke a hole near where you imagine the...
my silkies hatched their first baby. She looks partridge but a lot lighter than her mum partridge was as a chick. I believe dad has partridge silver genes with a bit of gold leakage. my neighbour hatch two of their off spring and both are also partridge marked which is why I now believe roo to...

It wasn't that group, but i am a member and know exactly which members you mean!! 😅 they almost all said cloud was a hen too. (he did look a bit henny) a day later he crowed and hasn't shut up since.
It wasn't a colour I was familiar with and had always called him silver partridge, but was corrected on a FB page. He does have some attributes of Columbian but I think he may be more of a grey mix. here's a better pic. He is pretty unique regardless.
Someone recently said he was Columbian. I'd never heard of it in silkies but when I googled he does seem to look the same. What attributes make a columbian silkie and would you say this information is correct.
I have 3 Pekin pullets one is blue one is partridge and then there's this little pretty lady. Does anyone know what her colour would be considered or have any themselves with similar colours. I'd love to find more like her. looks almost ombre effect.
Love this little guy. Cross between a tolblunt polish frizzle and barbu d'uccle. 15 weeks now. I'm thinking hen but don't want to tempt fate as I know frizzles can sometimes suprise us.
