11 week old salmon Faverolle and 13 week blue laced red Wyandotte here. I have to rehome them if rooster, and soon!, so what do you all think? I’m pretty sure the fav is a rooster, really unsure on the BLRW. Thanks for your help!
yes! Thanks for the help. I can’t have roosters so I’m wanting to know early so I can rehome if need be.
8 week old Salmon Faverolle... clearly dark but possibly hatchery not breed true?? Heh.
I also have this blue laced red Wyandotte that I can’t figure out! 10 weeks old:
I should clarify—in that second picture there’s another bird behind her that makes it look as if she has a big tail. In fact she has almost no tail feathers at all!
Thanks for your reply! This is today at almost 9 weeks. Pretty big waddle but only compared to my other breeds so I have no idea. She/he acts like a mother hen!
We have our first flock of six chicks this year (all different types) and this BLRW has developed so differently than the BOrpington and Barred Rock of the same age. Smaller, much slower to feather (still very little in the way of a tail!). Worried she might be a he on account of the comb...
