That’s very helpful to know! I actually had another BLRW from the same hatch that I was 95% sure was a boy, he was dominant and had big wattles and red comb and very splotchy coloring so I re-homed him. These 2 I have look more alike that the suspected roo which made me think they are both...
That’s the one I’m most worried about being a roo, I did rehome one from the same hatch that was def a roo with bigger wattles and bright red comb aggressive roo behavior but this one I’m worried might just be a little later to develop 🤷🏼♀️
I’m having trouble sexing these 4 chicks. They are 9-10 weeks old.
1: Olive Egger
2: Black Austalorp I believe it has some white tips on the wing, no real comb but tiny pink wattles coming in.
3: BLRW
4: BLWR
I got these from a breeder so they were straight run. Only one of them acts roo-ish and challenges my olive Egger Roo that is the same age and it’s number 2, but I know that doesn’t rule out the others being Roo either they just may be less dominant. Okay I may post updated pics in a few weeks...
Any ideas of these, I’m pretty sure 2 is a Roo but I really hope I have at least 1 Pullet 😩 This breed has been hard for me to guess. I’ve stared at so many pictures. They are 6-7 weeks supposed to be blue laced red Wyandotte. Thanks for looking any help is appreciated!
I think these are New Hampshire Red (pulled from a random Atwood’s bin) I picked the ones with the longest tails as babies hoping they were girls. What sex do you think they are: I’m really hoping for pullets bc I have too many Roos! They are about 2 months old now. These are the best pics I...
Anyone have any guesses what breed this is? First pic is at 2 weeks and second/third pic is 3 weeks old, it’s the runt of my bunch and much smaller than the rest... thanks!
