I recently caught and saved a hen and 7 chicks. A hen and roaster showed up a couple months ago. The roaster got killed by something then the hen was gone for a couple weeks. She showed back up with 8 chicks. Then it was 7. I bribed her with mealworms which I had for my blue birds. I have them in a 6/6/11 chicken tractor with a omlet brand iglu. I have something more permanent ordered. I need all the help I can get as I’ve never had chickens but not wanting to give these precious birds up.
