    I have no idea! I was assuming yes, since BR's can be sexed my their head dots, but upon reading more chicken genetics I think not since not all the hens would carry that gene. But it just became more confusing the more I read. I then tried feather sexing but apparently the father has to be slow...

    Hatched Today! These babies are from my Barred Rock Roo and 2 eggs from my splash ameracauna hen, 1 from my easter egger hen, 1 from my BR hen and 2 from my gold/silver laced Wyandottes.

    Oh I will. My daughter threw it in before I had gotten the towels down. So far they seem to be ignoring it, but once they get curious I'll probably pull it.

    6 of 15 hatched. 2 my husband helped out of eggs this morning, so 8 of the chicks are out but I don't expect the 2 to last, one has a deformed leg and the other isn't really moving much. So I'm counting this as a 54% hatch rate
