    Yes I ended up candling it last night just to double check. I see what looks like veins but how do I know if they are dried up or not? Would they look the same even if the duck absorbed them? I know you are all saying to wait and I completely respect your advice you guys know way more than me...

    The air sac looks good still. Not out of shape. The bruise just appeared yesterday morning. It wasnt there the day before. I know this for a fact because I inspected the whole egg and then did the float test. What would you recommend? He/she still hasn't internally piped

    Yes it is very hard but when I candled it last time which was yesterday I still saw veins so I'm way to nervous to poke any holes right now. I use a small but bright flashlight and yes I wait until night time and turn off the lights when I do it and it's very dark

    I just practiced on a infertile egg and think I can do it but dont want to if it's not necessary. Would you recommend maybe starting a hole in the air sac to see what position it is? That way I cant hit a vein while investigating? It's pretty over due and hate to think its suffering in there but...

    What should I do for now? It's still alive in there. Do I poke a hole in the air sac just to see what the position is? I definitely will next time. The air sac looks great though. About a third of the egg

    Yes up until it got too big. It was developing great. But now it's just so big it's just to dark to see through it

    I would but I hate taking it out of the incubator. I heard its really bad to do. I cant see much while candling anyway only that the dark part (the duck) is up by the small end.
