    I agree, Anconas for flightiness. I had an Ancona rooster, but he was a bad one. I had to make chicken dumplings out if him. The hens were great. I live in the south, but we've had some terrible winters and I think I will get rose combs when I order more Anconas.

    Yeah, it might be the maggot thing. Her bottom was so messy yesterday, I couldn't see anything but poop. I had her separated from the others, so I know it didn't get pecked. Thanks for the info!
