    A few years late here in response. I have this exact same bird.... So, was he a "he"? Or was it a girl with a feisty attitude? I was thinking Chamois Appenzeller Spitzhauben, but the crown is very big (her poof is about twice your size!) Maybe buff laced polish is right?

    Hi all, Long-ish story, so I'll cut to facts and hope for some solid advice: We raised 15 meat birds, and slowly culled 2 per week until all were eaten. Towards the end, the last 3 weeks these birds were seemingly sick (no, we didn't get sick eating them). Their poop was a watery green slop...

    Hello again! Two new (I hope) pulleys. These are Hamburgs (the black n white). Lovely birds. One is much larger than the other, tho the smaller one had a broken leg as a baby chick which took time to heal. Pullets?? I sure hope!

    Here's a better pic of the face . She is larger and has a larger comb and waddle than the others. Her stance seems to be the same as the others however. They are all right around 22-25 weeks.

    Hello! This is very helpful! I have three ladies that might be dudes. Help? This RIR is the only one without a comb or waddle. All her sisters have one by now. This wyandotte is constantly flying and trying to be the top... she also has no comb and is one of the oldest at 27 weeks...
