They're about 4 weeks old all mixed breeds as far as I'm aware. Two have the little spikey bits the yellow/White one and a black and white one, and the other two don't so I'm thinking 2 of each gender? If anyone could give me a clue as to breed as well I'd love to know :)
No it completely threw me lol. The breeder says there's no crested in her flock but maybe it was the grandparents? Two are crested. One slightly and the little Pom Pom head :) is there a page on crested here? :)
Sadly he died before I could figure out where his beak was. But on a better note all the other babies hatched so I'm proud that my first hatch I got 7/8 babies including two upside down ones :) they're so gorgeous I might explode. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice :)
I don't doubt :) they're so cheeky! There's 5 hatched now. 4 mini silver appleyards and 1 runner. The other 3 runners are being lazy :/ I've got trouble with one runner though. He'd stopped moving and I couldn't see or hear anything when all the others were clearly making holes so I put a safety...
Thanks :) I'm in love already. 4 fully fluffed another half out and the others are pipping :) two are crested although the person I got the eggs from say none of his are lol. Lucky me :)[/IMG]
It's one of those electric hen brooder things. They've been peeping at me now think they were still tired out. The heater doesn't have temperature settings that I can see do you think it needs lowering over them a bit more?
It hadn't yesterday I haven't checked today. I just checked on the babies and they're in a heap all sleeping is it normal for them to sleep so much? I thought they'd be running around by now?
Thanks :) I'm so glad he's out. But him and two others aren't as bright as the little crested duckling who's a right bossy britches :) I've had to help 3 out so far and im watching another upside down pipper :/ but his beak is clear and he's peeping at me. Another one has externally pipped, one...
