Review by 'Mercurygirl68' in article 'My Oatmeal Recipe for Chickens!'

:yaMy Girls give this a 5++ star review. I made a total of 6 cups (flock is 50 birds) for an afternoon snack (our coldest daytime of the season today) so this was right on time!! They LOVED it!! I did have to let mine sit for a while to cool....and then added a bit of cool water over the top as...

    Egg Value

It is a food safe ink. My eggs are not refrigerated so no condensation happens. I understand though and I think the only solution is using an impermeable ink and that is not a good idea due to chemicals....so, yes, the smear could be an issue I do agree!!

    Egg Value

This is how I "package" mine. I like using a "Free Range" stamp on my white eggs because not many in my area have organic/free range WHITE eggs....this shredded crinkle paper is from the dollar store, I use very little to spruce up the carton! I love people's expression when they peek in the...

Thank you so much! Yes, we originally got 50 thinking that we would lose 10% but so far we have one hundred percent survival! I could not be more thrilled! They give so much more than I could ever give back! Thank you for the warm welcome! :wee

Review by '' on item 'Ameraucana'

We love our Ameraucana Hens. We have 5 that are mixed in with 4 other breeds for a total of a 50 hen flock. These ladies are so sweet and demure. They are gentle to handle, very curious and ours are great foragers. They all have different but gorgeous feathers. We can't wait to see our first...

    Ameraucana?

She is beautiful. I am so new I don't dare give advice!! However, if I was guessing for myself it would be either Americauna or an Easter Egger...I hear both lay colored eggs. I have not had any of my Americaunas lay yet so I am excited to see potential color!
