    Making friends!

    Thought I'd share this sweet picture of my less dominant bantam girl keeping watch in the "nursery" over the two new girls. I let the bantams free range, and Rosemary found her way into the part of the run I have blocked off for the two babies while everyone gets accustomed to each other.

    Thank you! She's definitely very attached to us, but that makes me feel even worse when we put her away! And I'm all for getting another chick, but I'm afraid our coop is too small for all of them!

    My Buff Orpington hen is crowing!!!

    Our next door neighbor has a couple roosters, and our dominant lady has started very quietly mimicking them. It's kind of adorable, but then again, we don't have a rule about no roosters. Sorry no advice!
