    Extreme Heat

You can make a sprinkler for nearly free. http://www.stufftocraft.com/2009/05/recycled-soda-bottle-sprinkler.html. With the hose attachment that you use with a bottle, you can make sprinklers to fit your need at any time. They can hang, they can lay down, you can adjust exactly where the water...

    Chinese goose nose bump

Ok, good! Thank you for answering! We have never raised this type of goose from chickhood so we were feeling pretty confused. But we were not confused enough to not get them LOL I am so happy we did. Our goose is thrilled. Their bodies are a tad smaller than his as well. So, we thought perhaps...

    Chinese goose nose bump

We have an adult Chinese brown goose. We got him as a full grown adult. He has a large nose bump. We were able to get three companions for him (his died a while back) at an auction. They are colored identical but they do not have a bump on their noses (yet). Does this mean they are young? They...

    Extreme Heat

Excuse you? Sure I do? Whatever. Oh I never thought about that. I have always tried to make sure they stay dry and was even hesitant when I first started misting them. I could not dunk them to their necks in the kiddie pool though. It simply isn't deep enough. The pool in the pen they are in is...

    Cleaning a white call

I forgot to take before pics. But that is ok because after looks the same. I think we need to soak him longer... Maybe try tomorrow if he doesn't hate us too bad LOL

Never mind :) We were able to get three geese today locally!!! Our goose was so happy. It was awesome. They are all huddled up bonding. He was so lonely.

Help my Poor ducks feathers look terrible

Gosh I have no idea, but hopefully someone here will have insight and be able to help. The only idea I have is maybe putting out some really good feed for the ducks? Maybe it is a deficiency of some kind?

    Shade for my 2 geese?

Our goose is doing fine in 100 degree plus weather. There is a pool and he doesn't use it a whole lot, but it is there if he wants to. I would not worry at temps like you are saying. I am not sure about shy geese though... Ours is so nosy (as was his mate) that they would be inspecting anything...

The ducks in the metzer farms ad

Oh wow! I will tell ya, I emailed them with the email from their website and they responded to me within hours. I was so impressed! Also, they did not have what I needed at the moment (nobody does LOL) but they still took the time to respond. I really appreciated that a lot. So when you have...

    What are chicken nipples?

They sound great... Do ducks and geese use these as well? As I said, I like water in the coop because they have pools outside all day but we have to lock them down in the coop at night due to coons.

Ohhh! I am in Indiana! Sullivan (south of Terre Haute on 41). What kind of ducklings are they going to be?

    Cleaning a white call

We have a female white call that is going to 4H. My son got a male call to go with her to be shown (so we have not had him since he was a baby). He is dirty. We have had him a month. He is swimming in fresh clean water, he is fed quality feed, give treats. But his feathers are so nasty...

    New Indiana List

Me me me! I am from Sullivan, IN. PS! I am on the lookout for a goose. Any breed. Our male Chinese lost his mate and this is not the time of year to be finding goslings :sigh:

Should i put the feed in the coop or in the run?

Oh I love the idea of hanging corn out there!!! I never thought of doing that... I'm a total "treater" LOL!!! And yeah, ours all seem pretty happy with their situation too.
