Sadly tough, little finch passed away. the silkie was doing a great job with her- letting her nest under her wings and showing her how to feed- but she still wasn't eating, and I was manually feeding her. Then about n hour...

She isn;t any bigger than day 1- all my previous chicks have been much larger at this point. I've never hatched phesants or bantams though, so i don't know...

    Cream Legbar cross pheasant? HepA

So... I have several breeds of hens and roos, and one cream legbar. They have access to 18 acres but generally stick close to the coop. Except my legbar and salmon faverolle hens who tend to wonder further afield, but always together. There are often pheasants around- and up until a week or so...

I kept her at home in a quiet place under a dark heat lamp, bathed her in epsom salts nightly and after a few days she was pooping without any prolapsing, so a few more days and i returned...

Help! Prolapse with egg inside it!

I dont have acess to tums or calcium tablets but i have given her more crushed shells... her bath seemed to help in that her prolapse has gone down- but i couldn't soak off all the weird white stuff. Not sure if it's healed skin or really caked on poop. Going to bathe her again later. I squirted...

Upon examining it, i could tell the egg was still inside of the prolapse, but hanging out of the hen. So carefully i lubed up and put it back into the hen. I could also feel another egg...

    Chick identification

Clean legs whereas the buff orp has feathers growing on the legs. The neck feathers are buff, but along the spine are grey feathers with a similar pattern to the wings, and a buff line of feathers just before the tail feathers. No feathers under the wings yet, but chest feathers are starting to...
