I reread your post and I have one question. Are you saying I need a splash rooster that has two copies of the extended black in order to prevent gold coloring? How would I know a splash rooster possesses two EE? Thanks!

Thanks so much for the quick response! After more research, I do believe I have twp bb red pullets. A little disappointed as I have 1 silver duckwing hen already and 1 roo and was hoping to expand my flock. These two are lovely though and very sweet! Thanks for the help!!! And the pics.
