    Chickens and lead paint

    This has been really difficult. I know it is lead paint, but only a small amount was consumed. I'm looking into having the yolks tested just to be sure.

    I caught a chicken of mine pecking at some paint chips. I know they did use lead based paint back in the 70s. I am able to keep the chickens out of that area, but they did ingest some of the chips which may have traces of lead. I threw out the eggs the next day, but is that enough?
