    Is wheat germ good for chickens?

    I bought a bag of wheat germ from sprouts because it was on sale. Can I feed this to my two hens and if so how should I feed it to them? Do I cook it or feed it straight up. I intend to feed it to them as a snack/ treat which means not as their main source of nutrients.

    I haven’t noticed any symptoms while I’ve been out here. I found the dead one last evening but in that morning I checked on them and all were fine.     This morning I did my usual routine to check my quail. All were fine and had foood and water. I checked on them rightnow and one of the 7 week olds were dead.
