Just a regular dude starting a backyard flock. New at this so, I appreciated anything that can help.
Even if I don’t ask, please reach out with advice. I am new and I know nothing except for the couple of YouTube videos I have watched.
My flock:
1 Plymouth Rock
2 Easter Eggers
2 Buff Orpingtons
We have a hen house with great ventilation, and a covered run that’s predator proof and my hens are let out of their run only when we’re present.
Our neighborhood has cats, raccoons and opossums. As of now, only one cat has stopped by but was deterred due to hardwire mesh and locked doors. Full coop/henhouse is about 45 pounds and is stationary. Live cams outside coop/run and one live cam inside coop.
