I have one hen (may 2) sitting on eggs. the for sure one does not like me checking her eggs. she has been on them a week. the weather is now cold and I haven't gotten any eggs from the other five. I have two nesting boxes on the top shelve(been there always) and recently put two new ones on a bottom shelve. They never used them even when I had them on the same shelf as the top two.
All summer I got 5 to6 eggs a day. now I get maybe 1 or 2. Why aren't the other hens laying and what do I do with the broody hen? miss my eggs
