Well, my newest chicks have received their first pumpkin, and my older hens have received their second pumpkin. What a difference to see how the older girls went to town immediately, and the new girls I had to sit in there and look at it. I was trying to get them to eat the pumpkin. But nope...
2 days of working on the chicken run to add to the igloo pro chicken coop. After 2 months, the girls have grown & they needed more space Sooner then expected. Tomorrow I will put together There little makeshift roosts & install their new 5 gallon waterer & a bigger feeder.
5 are Columbian Wyandotte's (there is 1 that is all white - not sure she was what I asked for, but they were huddled together so we took her too) and the other 3 are Blue Laced Red Wyandotte's. I have not come up with any names yet.
My other older 8 hens names are: Missy, Roseanne, Rhoda...
Another hot day here in north florida, seven thirty four p m currently eighty nine degrees in my area... my girls are not laying very many eggs and nothing. I do seems to help them in their heat struggles right now. But I went out there and they showed me some love, and I got lots of pictures.
