    That's also what I was thinking. He stands way taller than my entire flock. Granted I don't have a rooster in the flock but still. This guy is still the odd man out so as long as he is cool with me and good to my ladies I don't mind him sticking around.

    I have a year old Indian runner who chases my chickens around and pulls out their feathers and eats them. They are on higher protein right now to help regrow feathers. I think its the ducks way of getting back at the chickens who pick on her.

    Well it turns out my girl was a boy. Good thing we named him a gender neutral name "Lucky". He still isn't fully matured so he isn't being a handful yet. I hope I can keep him but I heard another one crow today so 2 boys could be no bueno for my flock of 15.

    One of my Easter eggers has lice just in her beard and high neck region. I immediately ran for my DE. Good to know about the 7 day repeat rule. I'll throw more down in the run for them to dust bathe in. Catching these ladies is sometimes like pulling teeth.

    Have you tried diatomaceous earth? If you put it in their food and water its a dewormer and all around good maintenance. You can also put it on the ground for them to take dust baths in ECT. It gets rid of pests. You can find it at tractor supply and other places like that!
