Picture of my girl Brownie ☺️ I’ve had 2 Bielefelders & I love them. Very gentle & they lay huge, gorgeous dark brown eggs. They are definitely big girls- I guess around 9 or so pounds! Also so pretty. RIP to my other Bielefelder, her name was Bertha. (Last Pic)
Bielefelder egg is on the bottom
Hi chicken friends. I have 4 chicks total- 2 EEs and 2 Isa Browns. I’m unsure of the sex of the ees. I basically adopted them from someone who did not know how to raise chicks. Those combs are making me nervous. Any input would be appreciated greatly!
The last photo, the EE is in the back.
I did get some out, but on the one foot I was thinking there may still be some in there as well. Next time I rewrap I’ll try to get any out that I can. Thank you!
My girl Brownie has bumblefoot on both feet 😢 I got the black scabs off & have been applying vetericyn and prid drawing salve every other day. Also Epsom salt soaks for as long as she can relax in the bath. This is after almost a week of doing this. Does it look better? I think it does but want...
Thank you for your input! I was hoping if it sat all winter (almost 6 months) before I began gardening it would break down enough so that I could plant my veggies. I’m in Pennsylvania- I just added it to my profile.
Hi guys. I’m 3 months into having chickens & I was wondering how to use their dirty poo bedding. Does anybody add the used bedding to their garden in the fall and then till it in when spring arrives? I use pine shavings. How long should it compost before adding to the garden? Thanks in advance!
