I'm new to having chickens and I have 4 girls .Today I weight them and I think that I have been over feeding them Abby and Ziva are both Plymouth Barr rock.. In Aug I will start feeding them layer feed..but Abby today was a little over 6 lbs and Ziva a little over 8 pounds ..Alicia is a Delware...
I have to say that I'm confused..I have only 4 chicks. They will be around 6 weeks on the 4-18-12.. The place I purchased them sold me in a brown bag c/s..I was told that's all I need to feed them till they reach 18 to 20 weeks..This also had what was needed for a pullet in it..At 18 to 20 weeks...

Ok I'm all new to this but if I understand right y'all do not leave food out for your chicks at night..I have been leaving it in the pen and also in the coop with them..So at night I need to pick all of this up..I can say I have not seen rat dropping anywhere around the pen are in the coop...
