Can I trade a mean chicken for a different one?

I knew you people were the right ones to ask. ;-)

Can I trade a mean chicken for a different one?

Every morning they get a small tub (probably 4 cups-ish) of fruit and veggie scraps, every evening they get a small scoop (1/2 cups-ish) of mealworms. Their bagged feed (Cluckin' Good Layer Portion-19% protein with main sources including peas, sunflower mea, and milk protein) is always available...

It's hard to take photos of the run. 😂 It's 15 feet long and 4 feet wide. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have made it wider. I keep wanting to add more perchy things and am running out of ideas for how to do that while still being able to get in there to close the pop door! My husband would...

Their coop is 4x4 but they're sleeping in their nesting box which is not included in that 4x4.... the nesting box area is 2x1 separated in half by a half wall. Their run is 4x15.

Oh gosh, I've never even heard of such a thing! I'll check those out. If those would just help her chill out and let the feathers grow back on the others, that would be totally worth trying. Thank you!

    Roosting - an acquired skill?

First time chicken keeper here. I have a little flock of 4 hens (Lohmanns) that I bought from a chicken farm when they were 20 weeks old. They've been with us for just over 3 weeks now. Is it possible that they don't know how to roost or that veggie scraps are food? Every morning I toss whatever...

My little flock of 4 hens is moving in later this month so I'm in the process of building their coop and enclosed run. Both will have a solid roof. I'm not sure yet how the weather is going to affect the ground of the run so for now it'll just be dirt with patchy grass. When I want to give the...

    Hello from Alberta!

Just introducing myself... I live in Red Deer, Alberta and am wanting to have 3-4 backyard chickens (that's the maximum allowed in the city here). I'm in "information gathering" mode right now and want to prepare as well as I can ahead of time for the additions to our family. It's just my...
