I have 6 hens and 1 rooster. For the past couple of weeks I noticed that they are not eating their feed. They use to get crumbles but I switched to an organic pellet feed at the beginning of December. They are fed out of a rabbit feeder that is screwed into the coop wall. They are eating all the...
today is my 9 week old ee's 1st time in their coop. I thought they would be scared but they seem fine. Now I'm worried about tonight. Am I an overprotective chicken mom? Lol.
ok i hope it is a girl. here is a picture of the roo that is the same age. look at the comb on him!
The one on the side, closest to the camera is bell the one in the other pics.
i'm almost 100% that the one in the front is a boy, which i don't mind. but the one behind him is this a girl? she is camera shy lol. she has a small comb, some pink on it but mostly yellow and its nowhere near as developed as his. she is mostly grey. oh yeah and they are 5 weeks old.

how old do they have to be when you turn the light off at night? I have a regular light in their box and the heat lamp. They are both on all the time.
yeah I know it's their comb. But girls get that too? Since they are all the same age I was hoping since the one I KNOW is a roo is so obvious then the other ones would definitely be girls.
