but I personally if I do them again will process at 6 weeks for a avg weight of...
Wow what an Experience I am glad that I did this so I know what it takes to raise your own meat chickens. But let me state that this most likely will be my last time doing so at least for the near future.
7 weeks ago I purchased 25 day old Cornish X chickens. I started them in 2 brooders...

Ever use a kill cone much easier and drains the blood very fast.

Heat man I wish last night was 33 degrees I lost one 2 days ago 4 weeks old and it got down to 28 degrees.
todays high is 62 degrees we dont get 100 degree days at least until july and then only 3-5 days total per year. But this has me thinking freedom rangers for my summer batch
This year I am going to do 3 batchs with the first batch doing 24 second batch 40 and the thrid and final batch 40 as well. I am splitting the costs with another person on these so I end up with half the chicken and they pay for 2/3 of everything as I do all the work and we split the work on...
Again as I stated each to their own. If I built that it would have filled right up to the top with snow during the blizzard as we had drifts over 6 ft and I would have chickencicles
I will stay with what I got, looks cool just does not make sense to me. Not saying it dont work
