Most of the ventilation is at the roof line. There’s a 1 1/4” x 48” space from the roof at front and back and openings on the roof ridges at the sides. So about 148 square inches of open ventilation. But now that I’m thinking about it that is only like 1sf, I’ll add some more vents.
Lol roofing was done like that because that’s the roofing I had on hand at the moment and I didn’t have enough to chop it up to run the other way. I was worried about standing water on the roof but after the last rain there was none and most of the water sheds off to the sides which is better...
After a month and a half I’m finally done with my first coop!
Took me twice as long as I thought it would and cost a lot more in materials than I would have believed but I think it turned out pretty cool.

Trying to decide what breeds to buy. I'm looking to have a total of 5 birds for egg production but I would like the birds to be rather varied in appearance and produce a range of colored eggs from blue, brown, and green.
Does anyone have some suggestions on 5/6 breeds that might work for this?
