    when can chicks start going out for the day? [New Hampshire]

    I tried searching for this .. so sorry if it's been covered... my hens are about 5 weeks old... a few wing & tail feathers but still a lot of down. when can they go out for the day while I'm at work? I read it's when they have all feathers.. ? I live in NH so some days it's sunny & hot...

    Hi Mike here from New Hampshire, I just got my NH Reds & Barred Rocks from my local Agway store. I had to order 12 (as to some NH law) but split them with a friend, so I've got 3 reds & 3 rocks.
