I did set up a pool but they wouldn't use it, i do have a fan in the coop, and i have ice packs in their water, and i have alot of shade trees, plus i have water in 5 water dishes...i haven't had any birds with heat issues yet....only the odd open mouth breathing, i allow my brahma to come into...
I just want to know if i take a spray bottle that gives a continuous light spray, i keep it in the fridge and every 30 mins to an hour i was walking outside to spray the lawn with it to help the grass stay cool and damp, is this a good option....it is 37degrees Celcius
I used Hartz ultra guard flea shampoo and it worked awesome...and i got to spend all kinds of time swaddling and holding my chickens to make sure they wer dry enough to go into the basement so i really enjoyed that part....lol
Thank you, good to know, funny i didn't even know about that, it turned out that the shampoo i had had permethrin in it, i lucked out that i have a set up in my basement that is cool,not cold old dirt basement, so it's warm enough that they weren't cold after i dried hem some with a towel, but...

Thanks, my coop is a good size to and there is a dust bath in the coop too so they always have a dry area to bathe, i was keeping one side open but it has a bit of of a closed area where not alot of wind gets in due to trees and the large coop block it so would have a whole side of ventilation
I have a question i see people wrapping their whole coop, i was wondering if the fact that i did a portion of my run for bad weather is enough, we live in nova scotia, Canada so weather can really go either way, some winters good some bad, i will attach what i have,ps i also have a solar light...
