Buff brahma ~6 weeks… cockerel or pullet?

I think she will be a she, but still not 100% sure. She is smaller and pointier than the others, and definitely the first to chase things away. She’s also the friendliest!

Buff brahma ~6 weeks… cockerel or pullet?

Hi, I suspect one of my chicks is a cockerel but I am also new at this. One has thicker legs, patchy shoulder fluff, is quite pushy, and the feathers look pointier than the other (this is the part I can’t quite discern). What to you seasoned chicken people think? Alrighty then, I guess they're buff! Do you think they're all the same? I just want them healthy and happy.

These are my 1-ish week old light brahma chicks from our local TSC. Is this coloring typical? Thank you, chicken lovers!

How to transition chicks from heat lamp to brooder plate?

Thank you for the helpful responses! I removed the heat lamp and ushered them under there today and although they didn't like it at first, it didn't take them long to figure out that was the heat source and they went under there for naps. This is such a great forum! Thank you all.

How to transition chicks from heat lamp to brooder plate?

Hi, I'm a new member with new chicks. They're light brahmas, which I chose because they came highly recommended by a friend and we mostly want chickens for friendly backyard animals (and eggs will be nice, of course). They're 1.5 weeks old, we're assembling the coop and I though I thought I...
