Thanks you! They are free range and have a large pool and we spend a lot of time with them so I don’t think they are bored. And she didn’t eat the egg, it was still there when I found it. I am getting some oyster shell today! Thanks for the advice!

Will this train her to eat her own eggs? I would like to start collecting her eggs.

They both quack and they don’t have a curly tail. Any recommendations on the kind of feed I should get them now that they are at the age of laying?

I don’t have a picture of the egg but it was basically in half. When I threw the egg away it was kinda soft. I think they need more calcium in their diet.

I have two Pekin ducks. They are about 5 months old. Today I went to change their water and feed them and I found that one of them had laid an egg but it was broken in half. Is this normal for them to break their first egg. Could it have been the other duck that broke it?

Hello, I have two Pekin ducks! They are about 5 months old and one just laid her first egg! We got the ducklings when they were 3 days old and assumed they were both drakes. We named them Milo and Shazam. Now we know at least one is a hen!
