    1 day old chick keeps falling around he falls on his back and cant turn hisself back over any ideal whats wrong with him.. is there anything that i can tdo to help

    i have a 1 day old chick just born yesterday he was doing fine at first then i noticed last night that he keeps falling onto his back his belly up and cant seem to turn hisself over i have to keep a check on him every few mins. to turn his back up on his feet.. what c ould be causing this.

    i decided to put the chicks in a play pen my grandson has out growed..lol he is 2 1/2 now .i have got 6 baby chick now.. but i have noticce that # 2 is having some problem standing he keeps falling backwards and he has problems getting turned back on his feet any ideal what could be wrong...

    after i remove the chicks from the bater i plan on putting them in a big plastic tote with pine shaving is that ok or should i cover the pine shaving with news paper and of course i'll have a red 250 heat lamp which is best newspaper or pine shaving?

    they are not pipping any i see nothing changing except for the chirping sound so maybe they will start pipping soon
