Possible Sick Chicken - Please Help

Hi All, So we wormed the chickens and there seemed to be some improvement in terms of the colour of her comb and wattles, they are more red now. However, she is losing weight, is sleeping during the day and seems to just stare into space for minutes at a time. She is still getting around and...

    Summer Diet/Good Diet for Hens

I have three laying hens, 1 plymouth rock, 1 isa brown and 1 light sussex. Just wondering what the right amount of food is to feed them so they dont get overweight, as the summers can be quite harsh here in NSW Australia and I want to make sure I am not over feeding them. Thanks!!

What causes a hen to lay months earlier then she should?

Okay, as after she laid her egg her comb and wattle went quite light pink and white in some spots? Should I get some electrolytes or something?

What causes a hen to lay months earlier then she should?

Thank you! She is usually such a quiet and docile bird that to hear her volume increase so much was worrying, is there anything I can do to make it easier for her? Include something in her diet?

What causes a hen to lay months earlier then she should?

I have a Plymouth rock who is 5 months and about 3 weeks old, I was told it should take her 40 weeks to lay however today she has laid her first egg and it didn't seem like the easiest thing for her to do. She was in and our of the hen house all day, and then as the day progressed so did the...
