    Fox Problem :( - advise

Well i'm not sure what else it could be :/ I have seen as many as 4 foxes in my garden at one time so have assumed that thats what it is. Only other thing i can think of is maybe it was a Badger but again i've never seen one near the house or on the CCTV, which conveniently didn't catch what...

    The smell

I loved brooding my chicks in my dining room, however when they hit 3 weeks old, they smelt SO BAD. I have never gone through bedding and feed like it and although I loved how excited they got when I walked past the door and how theyd follow me round the house if i let them out for a while... i...

I can sex your pullets and cockerels!

May I ask what makes you say that? Aside the comb (the pictures make it way redder than it is) he/she has no characteristics of either males of the breeds he/she is... and has more of the female colouring/markings I'm still 50/50 but I'm no expert.... just want to know so I can learn what to...

    Cockadoodle-do, or don't!

I love my rooster, I rescued him from a dumping ground, when i eventually caught him I might add! Weve estimated his age to about 5-6 years old as his spurs were that long they were sticking into the back of his leg! Poor boy, he soon had a manicure and has 7 lovely ladies to himself and he's as...

Hi there, my cockerel has started wheezing in the mornings when I let my chickens out of there house. He's fine in himself and still dancing for the hens etc and by the afternoon the wheezing has gone. He is an older gentleman 5-6years old. I don't know if I should be worried or if its just a...

    Pullet or Rooster??

Cream legbar is an autosexing breed, I had a pure legbar chick that is definitely a female, this one came out with the same markings but much darker, I'm guessing from her mothers side, which is why I concluded female but now not 100% sure. Time will tell I'm sure.

    Pullet or Rooster??

i hatched out my own chicks for the first time a few weeks ago. 4 out of 5 have homes and this is the one I intended to keep. He/she is 2 1/2 weeks old and I was convinced she was a pullet but now I'm not sure as she's the first to develop a comb, Is it still to early to tell?? He dad is a...
