    Will he fly away?

    My Canada Goose who we had for two years just flew away the other day. We clipped the wings last year and I was going to do it again soon. I hope he's okay and found some of his own. Keep the wings clipped is my advise

    I have geese and ducks together, they get along very well.

    Call Ducks

    I totally love our call duck pair. It's so cute the way the female quacks so loudly, she's really got attitude! The little boy just follows her everywhere. I"m hopeful for ducklings in the spring.

    I feed my chickens all my eggshells and never have this problem. I think it's an instinct for them to eat eggshells, since they eat the eggshell after the chick hatches in much the same way that a cat eats the placenta. That's my theory at least.

    I used to live in Joshua Tree many years ago. Would drive through Apple Valley now and then. Didn't Roy Rogers and Dale Evans have a big ranch out there?

    Geese are fine around ducks and chickens, at least mine are. I enjoy my geese the best of all my poultry.

    From the sound of it, it does sound like this is a psychological issue with cats.
